Whenever Leigh and I were at market in January we stumbled upon this adorable line called Thimblepress. In 2011, Mississippi State grad, Kristen Ley, let her curiosity get the best of her when she decided to purchase a vintage letterpress as a way to let her express her artistic side. With her passion for handmade art, beautiful colors, and fun patterns Thimblepress art prints became kind of an overnight success along with her popular push pop confetti (don't worry we are getting those too). The fun and girly vibe that the line encompasses fits in perfectly with the profile of all of our fabulous customers, so it was a no brainer that we had to get this line for the store. The item that I will be highlighting today is the Flashes of Delight Card Set that is now available at Alibi Boutique.

The Flashes of Delight Card Set is a chic collection of 15 hand drawn/painted cards that are inspired by sparkle, color and of course The Glitter Guide. I know at the beginning of the post I mentioned that this blog was going to be about home decor and here I am talking about greeting cards. Well, the great thing about these 4X6 cards is that they can be used for anything! Yes, you could use them as actual cards OR you can frame them to add a flash of delight to your bedroom or home office.

In a nutshell this card set can be a gallery wall in a box. Gallery walls are all the rage right now, and I think the trouble that people have with getting one started is that they don't know how to gather a group of prints that are cohesive and varying in orientation, whether it be horizontal or vertical. The great thing about the Flashes of Delight Card Set is that it is a cohesive collection of prints. Meaning if you hung them all up together, it would appear as if you found these all from different places and have an excellent eye for creating fun gallery walls. Because these are all 4X6 prints you can easily find cheap $1 frames at Dollar Tree to make it look as if these are actually art prints rather than fabulous greeting cards. My next suggestion is for dorms. Here pretty soon all of the high school seniors are going to start planning out their dream dorm room. Trying to cover up those ugly dorm walls can be kind of challenging, but it doesn't have to be when you have a Flashes of Delight Card Set!! You could easily tack these cards up in a dorm with command strips to create a really cool vibe. The best part is the price.
