Wear purple and come RUN, WALK, STROLL the Christmas streets with us at the 3rd Annual Madeleine Memorial 5K Christmas Stroll on Saturday, December 20th. 100% of the proceeds of this nighttime fun run/walk directly benefit The Madeleine Hindman Memorial Fund. The family festivities, live music, and Christmas activities for the children will begin in the afternoon, so plan to come early for fellowship and fun. The run will start at 6:00PM (with Santa Claus leading the way) in front of Two Rivers Yoga in Gruene Lake Village. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Christmas Season throughout the course, and then be sure to stay around for post-race food, beverages, and lots of Christmas fun!
"Madeleine loved to dance. She loved to stretch and move and spin and leap and soar. She would often be at the ballet studio six days a week. Her body would ache, her feet would scream, but she loved ballet and she loved dancing with her friends. Madeleine also loved Jesus. At 13 years old she had a remarkable relationship with her savior. She kept private, amazing journals detailing her growing spiritual maturity. Madeleine’s faith was (and is) an inspiration to all who knew her. On July 5, 2012 Madeleine went to her last ballet class. Late that night she developed a brain aneurism that took her life very suddenly. Her heart has stopped beating but her dancing has not. Madeleine is now dancing the way she always wanted---perfectly. Her example of dedication to dance and to her faith has inspired many. Our wish is for her life and legacy to encourage others to a greater dedication to their faith and to allow children to be able to dance when they otherwise could not. The Madeleine Hindman Memorial Fund is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire the hearts, souls & bodies of those who want to dance. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Madeleine Hindman, but from what I have read and from what people have told me about her I know that she was a remarkable young lady and a true child of God. This Saturday, December 20th, Alibi Boutique will be donating 5% of the days sales to the Madeleine Hindmand Memorial Fund. If you haven't ever taken part in this wonderful event I highly suggest that you do! Don't worry today is the LAST DAY that you can register online.
