When Leigh was at market last month she caught a glimpse of gorgeous gemstone and druzy necklaces and was instantly drawn to them. After practically becoming enamored with the line an order was placed and our goodies were shipped out. Cimber Designs (pronounced Sim bur) was founded in 2008 when designer, Kelly Cimber, decided it was time to use her interests in unique rocks, gemstones and earth elements to create beautiful pieces that women would want to wear. Kelly discovered her love for jewelry making while growing up in Connecticut. Her studies in metal smithing even allowed her to win the Silver Key Award at the Connecticut State Art Fair. In between designing and creating this beautiful line of jewelry, Kelly is also coordinating search and rescue cases while Lieutenant in the Coast Guard. Talk about a busy bee! Kelly resides in Miami Beach and is glad she has been able to pursue her dream of a career in the arts.

Cimber Designs is made with fashionable women in mind. Kelly was rather discouraged with all of the cheap costume jewelry she was seeing in stores and wanted to create fashion forward jewels made of high quality materials that wouldn't necessarily break the bank. Each of the pieces found in this collection will be handcrafted using 14k gold filled or sterling silver precious metals. Not to mention, all of the semi-precious stones will be handpicked according to their unique and distinctive qualities. Many of the pieces will use the stones in their natural raw form.
