It all started in 2005 near Hermosa Beach in California. Shauna, a waitress at the time, noticed a nice bright space available for lease along the beach. With a fashion degree and a passion for cutting up clothes, she decided to go for her dream and rent out the space. Three short months later Poor Pitiful Pearl was voted the "Best One Of A Kind Clothing Shop" in the Easy Readers Best of South Bay issue. Today you can find Poor Pitiful Pearl on Etsy, at the local Farmers Market and at like minded stores near and far! Shauna's amazing designs are all inspired by her own casual style. Each piece will flatter your body while still achieving that effortlessly cool look. The slogan "It's a lifestyle" emerged when Poor Pitiful Pearl became more than just clothes, but rather a movement of individuality and uniqueness.
