I wanted to highlight a trend that has been here for about a month now, but some people are just now catching on. Wide-leg pants. Yes, this could seem like a flashback to the good ole days for some of you....but it looks like these pants are here to stay for awhile. Not only are they unbelievably comfy they are very flowy and breezy for the hot summer days we have ahead of us. Wide-leg pants can do many things for you depending on the kind you get. Ones with a higher waist band can help make your middle look smaller than it is. (every girls dream) It can help make your legs seem longer. Being a shorty myself I'm all about these kind of optical illusions. And for those who don't like tight fitting things around their thighs, these are perfect.
I think I have praised the pants enough. Now I'm going to suggest what you wear with them. As a whole wide-leg pants are pretty flowy so I would suggest you wear a more form fitting top. Most that I have seen would look excellent with just a white v-neck. Something that most of us already have in our closets.
If you are wearing a flowy top and a flowy pants you will:
A) lose the flattering look you were going for
B) hide the beautiful curves you should be playing up or
C) you may look like you are trying REALLY hard to hide something (you don't want this)
Here at Alibi Boutique we currently have 4 pairs of wide-leg pants out on the floor. Floral, cheetah, printed and a teal pair. Yesterday we got in a black and white geometric pair that is simply AdOrAbLe.
