The Perfect Beach Bag

With the sun out and heat waves on full blast, many people will start making those weekend trips to the beach or to the river to cool down and relax. The number 1 summer essential, in my opinion, is a beach bag. Believe it or not there is many things to consider when buying your bag. Impulse buyers BEWARE...the prettiest bag might not be the best bag.

1. Mid-length straps
You want to make sure the straps are long enough so you can effortlessly throw the bag on your shoulder or carry it as a tote if need be.

2. Consider the size
You want to make sure your bag is roomy enough to carry all your beach necessities, but you also don't want the bag to be so big that it starts to weigh you down.

3. Consider the shape
A flat structured bottom is KEY. This way your bag will be able to stand up on its own while sitting in the sand.

4. Consider the materials
Woven straw or raffia would be ideal because they have that stylish appearance, while actually being very durable at the same time. These materials are also known for drying quickly if they happen to get wet. Hello, this is a beach bag...it is going to get wet. Who wouldn't want their bag to dry fast?

Your beach bag purchase should be well thought out in order to ensure the best results. Here at Alibi Boutique we have a few bags that I think would make fine contenders in your search for the perfect beach bag :) AND all bags, totes and purses are 25% off this week.
